How we collect your information

Your payment details

We use your payment details to process orders, for invoicing and payments.

How we use your information:

We do not use your information for any purpose you have not authorised or disclose it to third parties without your permission. We process credit and debit card transactions via PayPal.

Who has access to your information:

South Cheshire Services Ltd staff and contracted data processors have access to your payment details to carry out your transaction.

What we do:

For bank account transactions, we may make a record of your:

  • Branch address

  • Sort code

  • Account number



Where possible we only store the card transaction receipt and other data needed to process the payment once the transaction is complete.


How long we keep it:

We keep your bank details for as long as you authorise and delete them when they are no longer needed. We do not keep payment card information.

Training, Assessment and Development

How we use your information:

We use your information to determine and advise you of the right course for you, to deliver the course and to process the course and relevant achievements


Who has access to your information:

South Cheshire Services Ltd employees who administer the course and deliver training have access


We use your:

Contact details, personal information any other relevant information required by regulatory bodies


How long we keep your information:

We keep information for long enough to ensure that, if a query arises in the future, we have enough information to deal with it.

General enquiries, where personal information has been used to assess your training, assessment and development requirements, which do not progress, will be retained for 6 months.


In House training, assessment and development information/records will be retained for three years following the year end in which the training, assessment, development falls.


S/NVQ information/records will be retained in line with Awarding Body (NCON-CSkills Awards) requirements currently 3 years. Information/records will be retained for three years following the year end in which the training, assessment, development falls.  Where funding has been/is accessed by individuals and/or companies information will be held to meet the funding authority requirements, the maximum length of retention for information/records is variable and dependent upon the contract requirements at the time the funding was/is issued.


Plant Operator Card Scheme information/records will be retained for 6 years currently in line with CITB/CPCS Scheme requirements. Information/records will be retained for six years following the year end in which the training, assessment, development falls.


Who we share your information with:

The registration process for Awarding Bodies and Plant Operator card Schemes requires that we share your personal information with them to complete their registration and achievement processes and to produce Certification and Plant Operator Scheme cards. If applicable we may be required to share your information with the Education and Skills Funding Agency to allow them to create your Unique Learner Number and Personal Learner Record. We may also share your information with other Training Providers if we find we are unable to assist with your particular training/assessment/development requirements.


Revision Packs

We sell revision packs through ebay and payment is taken via PayPal.


How we use your information:

We use your information to process your purchase. This includes your name, contact and payment details.


Who has access to your information:

South Cheshire Services Ltd staff receive details of your purchase and payment. Staff and systems at ebay and PayPal use your information to process your purchase and payment.

How long we keep your information:

Financial information is retained for 7 years.


Keeping your information safe

South Cheshire Services Ltd recognises the need to keep your information secure.

When we pass on your information to a third party we seek to ensure that they have appropriate security measures in place to keep your information safe and to comply with the general principles in relation to data protection. 

Within South Cheshire Services Ltd every effort is made to ensure personal information is kept safe and secure and is used for specific lawful purposes and only by staff who need it. Paper records are secured in locked offices, electronic records and databases are password protected.


Information will be disposed of securely; paper records will be shredded, and electronic records will be erased.
